So....Sunday. Archery day. Apart from that it is a chance to have a break for one day a week. We were going to go to Terribly British Day but unfortunately we never made it there.
Boy has shown an interest in taking up archery, so next year he is going to join me. Hopefully between us we can clean up some trophies next year. With a new sight and new bow I should be a contender for a few championships and hopefully, with the right coaching, Boy can take out the Junior Boys Shield. However I think with some of the plans we have for next year, he is going to have a bit of competition.
Off to Sydney tomorrow for work. I might drop into the archery place and grab some arrows for the club to keep us going. It will also give me a chance to check out if there are any other bows I am keen on since I have been set on the Martin Shadowcat since I shot it and it was better than anything else I tried. There is also a Hoyt model I would like to look at. It meet my prerequisites for arrow speed and having a length over 40 inches. I have noticed many of the new bows, even target ones are less than 4 inches long. It is hard to get anything over 35 inches, but I need the length due to my size and my draw length.
I need to remember to get a bow stringer tomorrow as well. The club doesn't have one, but we need to make sure the juniors are stringing the bows correctly and not the dodgy way that we do it. I will ahve a look at the sights at the same time and make sure I get the one that I want.
Kat made an awesome toblerone cheesecake and some coated lamb thingy. I will pot the recipes up for those that are interested. They were tasty.
Well that's it from me, next update will come from Sydney Harbour, unless I can't get internets, then I will write it but post it on Tuesday night when I get home. See ya later, alligator.
